Who We Are
Erie United Methodist Church is a congregation that loves God and serves others. We volunteer locally and donate to organizations that help people, both in our area and across the world.
Our congregation is made up of people from Erie, Temperance, Luna Pier, Bedford, and beyond. We offer weekly Sunday School classes for adults and children, weekly bible study during the year, and activities for women, men, youth, and children.
What We Believe
United Methodists share a common heritage with Christians of every age and nation. This heritage is grounded in the witness to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
As United Methodists, grace pervades our understanding of Christian faith and life. By grace we mean the undeserved, unmerited, and loving action of God in human existence through the ever-present Holy Spirit.
Faith is the only response essential for salvation. However, personal salvation always involves Christian mission and service to the world. Love of God is always linked with love of neighbor, a passion for justice and renewal in the life of the world.
